Shulou( Report-- December 13, Primate Labs recently issued a press release announcing the launch of a 0.6 preview version of the Geekbench ML application, which extends to desktop versions such as Windows, macOS and Linux distributions based on existing iOS and Android versions.

The application mainly tests the speed at which the equipment can perform machine learning tasks. The description of the application attached to is as follows:

Geekbench ML includes computer vision and natural language processing tests to model real-world machine learning tasks and applications. These tests can measure the machine learning performance of CPU,GPU and NPU of the device.

Primate Labs said in a press release:

The workflows related to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are not limited to mobile devices. Hardware architectures on desktops and laptops are also changing to accommodate this computing shift.

Geekbench ML has added support for Windows, macOS, and Linux desktops after upgrading to the latest 0.6 preview.

This means that users can evaluate the computing performance of desktops, laptops, and even servers through Geekbench ML, even if the device does not have AI-specific hardware.

And, as always, our model and dataset are the same on all supported platforms, so the scores are comparable.

Geekbench ML's new workload includes depth estimation for reflecting functions related to software-assisted portrait mode photo effects, style conversion for measuring the ability to convert one image into another image style, and image super-resolution for evaluating AI-driven image magnification.

Geekbench ML 0.6 is still a preview version, and Primate Labs will continue to adjust based on results and feedback, so the score of version 0.6 cannot be directly compared with the previous version 0.5. Primate Labs hopes to release a full version 1. 0 sometime in 2024.
