CTOnews.com, December 18, Tencent officially launched the third phase of the technology public welfare venture capital program, which is open to social organizations, scientific research universities, institutions, social enterprises and commercial companies. Nearly 50 projects will be funded, up to 1.5 million.

The third phase focuses on the species identification direction and community service issues in the field of ecological environmental protection, and creates a leading technological solution for the ecological environmental protection-species protection and identification direction.

CTOnews.com noted that Tencent officially launched the technology commonweal venture capital program in 2021, encouraging social professionals to solve public welfare pain points and social problems through technological capabilities, and create an open ecology for technological commonweal. A total of 28 projects were selected in the first phase (the funding period has ended), and 46 projects were selected in the second phase, from June 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
