According to reports, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen Web3.0 investigation and research, formulate Web3.0 development strategy documents in line with China's national conditions, clarify the development path, technical focus, and application model of Web3.0, and properly handle the relationship between inheritance and innovation, development and security, government and market, and supply and demand. Focus on government affairs, industry and other key areas, encourage the development of new business models such as NFT and distributed applications (DApp), and accelerate the innovative application of Web3.0 and the construction of digital ecology.

CTOnews.com noted that on August 22 this year, the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the "New Industry (300832) standardized Navigation Project implementation Plan (2023-2035)" (hereinafter referred to as "implementation Plan").

In the "Research on Future Industrial Standards for prospective layout", the implementation Plan proposes to carry out pre-research on Web3.0-related standards, develop basic standards such as terminology and reference architecture, technical standards such as cross-chain technical requirements and distributed digital identity distribution, and application standards for scenarios such as data asset transactions, digital identity authentication and digital collection management.

According to public data, Web3.0 is an improvement on "Web2.0". In this environment, users do not have to create multiple identities on different centralized platforms, but can create a decentralized general digital identity system that can pass through various platforms. Web3.0 is used to describe the potential next phase of the Internet, a "decentralized" Internet that runs on "blockchain" technology.
