If we only have one archive log file, what if the archive log file is corrupted or the disk on which the log file is located is damaged? At this time, our archived log files are lost, and the data must not be fully recovered.

At this point, we can set up multiple different archive addresses, also known as archive directories, in Oracle. The purpose of this is to achieve redundancy, which means that these archive directories store the same archive files, which can be understood as multiple backups.

Let's first take a look at the archive directory and the status of the archive directory:

Parameter log_archive_dest_n indicates the archive directory, log_archive_dest_state_n indicates the status of the archive directory, and enable indicates that the directory of this parameter is valid.

Under ①, we create three new folders to simulate the three disks, as shown in the following figure:
