1 preparation before installation

Before installing SQL Server 2012 servers and clients, you need to make the following two preparations in advance:

SQL Server2012 relies on .net Framework 3.5.1 components. This component is not installed by default in Windows Server 2012, so it needs to be installed manually.

In order for SQL Server to work properly, you need to make sure that TCP port 1433 is available, so you need to turn off Windows Firewall.

1.1 install .net Framework 3.5.1

Click the Server Manager button to the right of the system start button, enter the Server Manager, and select functions in the navigation tree on the left.

Click "add feature" in the feature summary to enter the add feature wizard.

As shown in the figure above, select .net Framework 3.5.1 and click the button to enter the confirmation dialog.

Click the button to enter the installation progress dialog box to begin the installation of .net Framework 3.5.1.

When the installation is complete, click the button to install .net Framework 3.5.1.

1.2 close Windows Firewall Click the system start button, select the Control Panel menu item, and select system and Security > check Firewall status.

Click the "turn Windows Firewall on or off" menu item on the left to enter the Custom Settings dialog box.

Turn off all firewalls for home or work (private) network location settings and public network location settings, click the button to close the Windows firewall.
