Check to see if Chinese package support has been installed. Terminal input: sudo dpkg-l to see if the Chinese language support (language-pack-zh) package is installed.

Installation

If it is not installed, the terminal executes the command: apt-get install language-pack-zh

Configure locale variables

Vim / etc/environment

Add the following two lines below:

LANG= "zh_CN.UTF-8" LANGUAGE= "zh_CN:zh:en_US:en"

Open the file:

Sudo vim / var/lib/locales/supported.d/local

Add the zh_CN.GB2312 character set as follows:

En_US.UTF-8 UTF-8zh_CN.UTF-8 UTF-8zh_CN.GBK GBKzh_CN GB2312

After saving, execute the command:

Sudo locale-gen

Set the system default language

The vim editor edits the document:

Sudo vim / etc/default/locale

Modified to:

LANG= "zh_CN.UTF-8" LANGUAGE= "zh_CN:zh:en_US:en" sudo reboot

Restart Ubuntu the next login will be the Chinese interface. And it also solves the phenomenon of garbled codes in Chinese in the system.
