Suzhou Intermediate people's Court pilot generative AI-assisted case handling: 70% completion of referee documents
CTOnews.com, November 27, according to the official announcement of the Suzhou Intermediate people's Court, the Jiangsu Provincial higher people's Court has approved the Suzhou Intermediate people's Court (CTOnews.com) to carry out the pilot construction of a generative artificial intelligence-aided case handling system.
According to reports, the auxiliary case handling system put into use by the Suzhou Intermediate people's Court is based on all kinds of electronic file data and legal knowledge data gathered in the previous paperless case handling, combined with artificial intelligence general large model technology, this paper constructs a court-specific large language model with multimodal document understanding ability, legal semantic cognitive ability, and natural language interaction ability.
The court-specific large language model has an auxiliary case-handling system, which can perform the following functions:
Identify and output the factual elements needed by the judge more accurately in the electronic file, and provide the original source.
The marking and element backfilling functions of the system make it convenient for the judge to review the file, obtain evidence and sort out the facts.
According to the judge's fixed factual information and court records after reading the papers, we simulate the judge's thinking logic to organize the language to generate the relevant legal documents.
In the auxiliary legal documents, the accuracy of the "party information and fact finding part" is more than 95%, and the completion of the "adjudication documents" for reference is about 70%.
According to reports, the Suzhou Intermediate people's Court will strengthen the application of the generative AI auxiliary case handling system in the next step, actively expand the application of large models in other complex types of cases and other court work scenarios, and strive to reduce the burden on police officers and increase efficiency by means of science and technology.
