Shulou( Report--

According to news on November 30, although fuel vehicles still dominate the number of cars sold around the world, the share of electric vehicles in new sales is also increasing with the increase in electric vehicle sales.

The European Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts that pure electric vehicles will account for nearly 20% of new cars sold in the European Union next year, up from 14% to 14.5% this year.

However, the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers also expects the growth of new car sales in the EU market to slow to 2.5 per cent next year, down from 12 per cent this year.

Although growth is expected to slow next year, sales of new cars in the EU market this year have exceeded their expectations. At the beginning of this year, the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers expected sales to grow by 5% this year compared with the same period last year.

With the increase of electric vehicle sales, there will be more laws and regulations related to electric vehicles in the future, and the demand for supporting facilities such as charging piles will also be more.

Renault CEO Luca de Meo, president of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, stressed that between now and 2030, automakers are expected to face more regulations, many of which will conflict with each other, and the deployment of charging stations needs to be accelerated 7 to 10 times faster.

The increase in demand for electric vehicles will also prompt automakers to launch more models. Luca de Meo mentioned that more conventional electric vehicles will be launched in the next few years, with a range of 400km to 500km, and the prices of these electric vehicles are expected to be greatly reduced.
