Gigabyte launches Aorus CO49DQ e-sports display: QD-OLED ultra-wide screen, supporting AI anti-burning screen
CTOnews.com, December 11, 2008. Gigabyte recently introduced the AORUS CO49DQ e-sports display, featuring a 49-inch QD-OLED ultra-wide curved screen with DQHD 5120 x 1440 resolution and 1800R curvature, support for 144Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time (GtG) and game "tactical features".
In addition to gaming functions, AORUS CO49DQ is also suitable for multitasking and content creation. The productivity use cases mentioned by gigabyte include film editors and music editors. For some tasks, the display requires good color specifications. The QD-OLED screen has a 10-bit depth, 99% DCI-P3 gamut, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400certified. In addition, it adds a glare-free design, supports multitasking, and provides picture-in-picture (PiP) and picture-by-picture (PbP) modes.
The word "AI" has become so popular recently that gigabyte says Aorus CO49DQ supports the "OLED Care" function and minimizes the risk of screen burning through OLED protection technology based on artificial intelligence algorithms. However, there are no third-party test results, and its effect remains to be seen.
CTOnews.com noted that Aorus CO49DQ has a rich interface configuration, including two HDMI 2.1interfaces, a DisplayPort 1.4interface, a full-featured USB Type-C interface (which supports DP-Alt mode and provides 18W reverse power), and an audio Jack, as well as KVM and hub functions, as well as two USB 3.2 Type-An interfaces for users to expand their peripherals. In addition, the monitor is equipped with two 5W speakers.
In ergonomics, the display supports rotation and tilt adjustment, but does not support height adjustment. Because the monitor provides 100x100 VESA mounting holes, you can choose to use a third-party arm or desktop bracket. In addition, the display has a built-in power supply with a rated maximum power consumption of 72 watts.
A large number of 49-inch QD-OLED displays are expected in 2024 with a resolution of DQHD 5120 x 1440, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a curvature of 1800R. AORUS CO49DQ, MSI MPG 491CQP and RedMagic Realm all seem to use the same three-star panel, and there may be more products in the future.
