East engine released the first AMD Ruilong 8040 mini host: dual network ports, supporting four-screen output

CTOnews.com December 13 news, East engine (ASRock Industrial) has now released the first AMD Ruilong 8040 mini-host-BOX 8040, R7 8840U and R58640U processors are available.

According to reports, this series of mini-host size is 117.5 x 110x 49 mm, support 96GB dual-channel DDR5 5600MHz SO-DIMM memory, can install two M.2 SSD. The video output interface includes two HDMI and two full-function USB4 to achieve four-screen output. In other ways, the mini host supports the Wi-Fi 6e wireless network and is equipped with a 2.5G port and a 1G port.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the AMD Ruilong 8040 series of mobile processors still use Zen4 CPU cores and RDNA3 kernel display. NPU seems to have improved performance through overclocking, increasing its computing power from 10 TOPS to 16 TOPS. The CPU and GPU parameters of R7 8840U in the new ASRock Mini mainframe are the same as those of R7 7840U.

The AMD 8040 series of vest processors will be launched in the first quarter of 2024.
