Douyin said that in order to further improve the content quality of Mini Program skits and ensure that Mini Program skits operate in compliance, the platform will impose operational restrictions on skits that are not stored in storage and whose results are "unplayable".
In terms of content broadcast control, in Douyin Mini Program, the broadcasting of skits that are not stored and the audit result is "non-playable" will be restricted. The standard refers to the General rules for content Review of online Audio-visual programs, which will take effect from December 13, 2023.
In terms of advertising, skits released on Douyin, Douyin Express and Douyin Volcano and watched on other platforms are required to be submitted for review through the Mini Program content library of skits, and skits that have not been stored in the library and whose results are "unplayable" will be restricted, effective December 13, 2023.
As previously reported by CTOnews.com, starting from late November 2022, SARFT concentrated on three months to organize a special rectification of online microdramas such as "Mini Program" and achieved positive results.

The sixth is to carry out another one-month special rectification work, focusing on the guidance, title, content, aesthetics, personnel, publicity, broadcasting and other aspects of network short plays to increase the handling and exposure of illegal network short plays, and further optimize algorithm recommendation, improve the advertising push audit mechanism, and achieve immediate results.
